RADIANCE brings together 12 leading organisations from 7 European countries, combining expertise in robotics, automation, AI, construction, digitalisation, and sustainability. 

The consortium unites universities, research centres, SMEs, and major industry actors to co-develop and validate next-generation solutions that make renovation and new construction safer, faster, and more efficient. 

Each partner plays a key role in ensuring that RADIANCE delivers high-quality, impactful results for Europe’s built environment. 

Universidad de Vigo (UVIGO) — Spain

About: UVIGO is a leading Spanish university with strong capabilities in engineering, robotics, automation, and digital technologies.

Role in RADIANCE:UVIGO serves as Project Coordinator, overseeing scientific, administrative, and technical management across the consortium. In addition to this role, UVIGO leads the validation activities of the project and contributes directly to the technical development of aerial robotics solutions, supporting key aspects of inspection, automation, and integration within the RADIANCE technological framework.

Universidade do Minho (UMINHO) — Portugal

About: UMINHO is a reference institution in civil engineering, construction materials, structural analysis, and sustainable renovation strategies. 

Role in RADIANCE: Contributes to renovation methodologies, structural assessment knowledge, and validation activities. 

Université Gustave Eiffel (EIFFEL) — France

About: EIFFEL is a major French research university specialising in civil engineering, smart infrastructure, mobility, and advanced construction technologies. 

Role in RADIANCE: Supports research on inspection processes, robotics adaptation, structural diagnostics, and modelling. 

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology (L-PIT) — Poland

About: L-PIT is part of Poland’s national applied research network, with strong expertise in automation, industrial technologies, and materials analysis. 

Role in RADIANCE: Leads the development of Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) tools and supports technology testing and characterisation. 

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) — Finland

About: VTT is one of Europe’s leading research organisations, known for its excellence in digital twins, AI, smart buildings, and robotics. 

Role in RADIANCE: Provides advanced expertise in digitalisation, AI-based inspection and assessment tools, and renovation workflow optimisation. 

SINTEF AS (SINTEF) — Norway

About: SINTEF is a world-class research institute covering engineering, robotics, materials, and digital construction technologies. 

Role in RADIANCE: Contributes engineering knowledge, supports pilot planning, and validates technologies in real-world environments. 

Fundación Tecnalia Research & Innovation (TECNALIA) — Spain

About: TECNALIA is a leading European research and innovation centre focused on digital transformation, robotics, and applied construction solutions. 

Role in RADIANCE: Participates in robotics development, system integration, and demonstration activities in testing environments. 

Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FRAUNHOFER) — Germany

About: Fraunhofer is Europe’s largest applied research organisation, with strong capacities in robotics, sensing systems, materials science, and AI. 

Role in RADIANCE: Supports the development of automated inspection, sensing technologies, and digital tools for construction applications. 

Contactica S.L. (CTA) — Spain

About: CTA is an innovation consultancy specialised in project management, communication, exploitation, and technology transfer for EU-funded projects. 

Role in RADIANCE: Leads Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation (WP8) and ensures visibility and impact across all project stakeholders. 

Probot Oy (PROBOT) — Finland

About: PROBOT is an SME focused on industrial robotics, autonomous systems, and automation engineering. 

Role in RADIANCE: Contributes to the development of robotic platforms and supports integration for on-site use. 

Misturas Obras e Proxectos S.A. (MISTURAS) — Spain

About: MISTURAS is a construction company with extensive experience in rehabilitation, civil works, and infrastructure projects. 

Role in RADIANCE: Provides real renovation environments, construction expertise, and industrial insights to support technology validation. 

Skanska S.A. (SKANSKA) — Poland

About: SKANSKA is a major European construction company with strong experience in large-scale building projects and sustainable construction practices. 

Role in RADIANCE: Supplies real-use cases, industry best practices, and pilot-site support to ensure practical applicability of project solutions. 

Infrastructure Management Consultants (IMC) - Switzerland

About: IMC is a research and development organisation specialising in construction automation, digital processes, and performance optimisation across complex building environments.

Role in RADIANCE: Leads the development of renovation workflows and optimisation strategies, contributing to inspection, assessment, digital modelling, and pilot validation activities across several technical work packages.

ETH Zurich

About: ETH Zürich is one of Europe’s leading universities in engineering, robotics, and computational sciences, widely recognised for its cutting-edge research in autonomous systems and digital construction.

Role in RADIANCE: Supports the development and evaluation of advanced digital and robotic tools, contributing expertise in modelling, optimisation, and pilot validation within selected technical tasks.
